Van’s Surf

Surfing big financial waves. Writing a new positioning was the start of a big shift in the VANS surf business. But what supported that positioning was creative and radical experimentation through the anthem campaign: OUTSIDE THE LINES. Ultimately those experiments paid off with growing sales by double digits with continued growth to date.

Vans – Classic Campaign

Conceptualized and created Brand Campaign imagery to be used across key platforms, including retail, print and digital media, website, PR, and social media.

Vans x Stranger Things

A strange and visually engaging LoFi mashup of images and sounds blending the worlds of Vans and Stranger Things

Van’s x Gangnam Store

Vans invited Los Angeles based Korean American artist Cryptik to paint a mural with his signature calligraphic style, embedding a message of perseverance, determination and triumph. Encoded within the work are the words of Confucius “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

Customers can check out the Vans culture library on the second floor where an array of books, magazines, and zines are available for reading. These dedicated areas help to present detailed stories of Vans heritage within art, music, skateboarding and street culture stretching from the past and their influence for the future.

The customization zone on the same floor enables customers to design their own Vans shoes and accessories with a variety of tools including screen printing, embroidery and dip dying. In addition to being free and open to all every day, staff and invited artists are also onsite to help customers with their designs.

The Vans brand showcase store combines brand experience and storytelling - a wall of vintage speakers and TV’s designed by Berlin-based sound sculpture artist Benoit Maubrey, is installed at the first level of the store.

Vans – The Family Project

Concepted and produced a curated photo project capturing the Vans Girls Classic culture through the eyes of two photographers, Olivia Bee and Petra Collins, and their friends. Shot in their own environment, all surrounding the Original Vans Classic Slip-on.
