Role overview

The Editorial Writer brings the Friends Everywhere voice to life across social, email, web, and client work. You write clear, compelling, emotionally resonant copy that reflects FE's point of view, energy, and creative intelligence. From Substack essays and Instagram captions to client campaign copy and web messaging, you help shape how FE shows up in the world and how our clients speak to theirs. You work closely with the Intelligence, Creative, and Client Experience teams to write copy that feels human, elevated, and culturally aware. Part storyteller, part editor, part creative collaborator. You use AI tools to research and draft faster, and the voice on the page stays yours.

Responsibilities

  • Write FE copy across Substack, Instagram, LinkedIn, the website, and email

  • Develop first drafts, headlines, captions, and long-form writing that reflect FE's voice, values, and creative point of view

  • Write in someone else's voice when the work calls for it, including client and founder voice

  • Partner with the founder, Intelligence leadership, and Creative leadership to review and refine copy before it publishes

  • Adapt messaging for each platform while keeping a consistent, recognizable FE tone

  • Support client projects with strong, strategic copy

  • Take part in brainstorms, creative reviews, and concept development

  • Manage copy through FE's workflow tools (Monday.com, Google Docs, Figma), so drafts, reviews, and approvals stay on track

  • Use AI tools for research and first passes, and edit everything until it sounds like a person wrote it

Tools & technology

  • Figma, to review copy in context

  • Comfortable with AI tools. Not fluent, but comfortable.

  • Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace

  • Substack and the major social platforms
